Item # 1031 - Antique Burgundy IG, GH, Saluki Plate England c1895

Here is a large antique 11" diameter transfer plate from England. On the plate face is a 15th century English scene featuring a gentleman, his servant, a horse, a castle and three gorgeous dogs. Two of them are definitely Greyhounds or Italian Greyhounds. The third looks like a Saluki! Around the perimeter is a lovely geometric design that appears to have a Moroccan influence. On the back is the original maker's mark as shown below. There is one crack which is mostly visible on the back. On the front there is one tiny surface chip. Aside from that and some delicate crazing (that indicates age) this plate appears to be in excellent condition. I was told that this plate was made circa 1895. It is absolutely GORGEOUS.
