Item # 6027 - Antique Italian Greyhound Engraving c1870

Here is a genuine antique engraving...NOT a modern reproduction. The print is actually over 100 years old and was produced in New York sometime during the 1870s. Under the print is the following title: THE NOON-DAY WALK. A romantic couple is strolling in the shade of trees accompanied by a delightful Italian Greyhound. The IG is running along in front of them and appears to be playful. The artists were: H. Jutsum Pinx and R. Brandard Sculpt. The type of print used was a steel plate engraving.

Measurements are 9.5" x 12.5". The publisher was D. Appleton & Co in New York. The full title and credits are printed below the artwork. This is a very detailed engraving...a lovely print! It is an original, genuine antique and it is in excellent condition.
