Here is a rare antique metal tieback that was used for drapes or curtains.
On the tieback top is a raised relief portrait of an Italian Greyhound head.
This was made in England sometime between 1800 - 1850.
Measurements are: 1.3" diameter x 2.3" L.
Over the years there has been some bending of the metal in parts...
and some signs of wear on the finish as shown in the pix above.
However, this lovely old tieback is generally in excellent condition considering its age!
