Exquisite Italian Greyhound detailHere is a very old wood jewelry box.
On the lid is a gorgeous portrait of an 18th century French couple and their exquisite Italian Greyhound.
This portrait is protected under glass. Inside there are 3 compartments over a glass "floor".
I was told that this box was made sometime during the 1920s.
Around the perimeter is a delicate raised relief floral design.
The lid opens and closes via intact hinges on the back.
On the bottom is a felt pad.
Measurements are: 7.5" x 9.25" x 2.5" H.
Aside from a few minor signs of wear this box is in excellent condition.
