Item #5001 - Signed Book: "My Mother Never Taught Me Songs"
About the Book In
1939 the author and her parents fled Nazi Germany just ahead of the
Holocaust with only the clothes on their backs and what they could carry.
Unable to speak English and faced with the need to survive in a world
foreign to them, eight year old Lilian's parents sometimes did not realize
that children can have very real problems of their own. My Mother Never Taught Me Songs chronicles the often difficult, sometimes triumphant journey of a shy young refugee through adolescence and coming of age in a beloved but frequently frightening new land. Please note that this is not a dog book, although Italian Greyhounds are mentioned in it. The book is a paperback and has 216 pages, including a few photos. This is a signed copy generously donated by the author, Lilian S. Barber. Thank you very much! Shipping will be handled by Lilian Barber. |
