IG Sweater Courtesy of Great Pyrenees Rescue!!!!
Here
is an exquisitely soft and warm sweater made from the
fur of Great Pyrenees dogs. One thing is for sure: THERE
IS NO BETTER ITALIAN GREYHOUND SWEATER THIS SIDE OF
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE!!!! Queen Gracie wears one...constantly.
She lives in her sweater and loves it beyond anything
else in her wardrobe! East Coast Great Pyrenees Rescue
donates yarn spun from the fur of their rescues to the
Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation. Our wonderful knitter
then combines that yarn with a
touch of mohair (for softness) into these wonderful
and rare sweaters. This is a case of one dog keeping

and being willing to donate out of the kindness of her
heart. After collecting fur from her Great Pyr
rescues....Nicole then sends that fur to a friend who
spins that fur into yarn. The yarn is then donated to the
Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation. If any of you would
like to write a note of thanks...let me know and I'll send
you her e-mail address. Every fiber in this special
sweater is spun with love. Every fiber is knitted with
love. And every fibre will be loved and appreciated not
only by YOUR special little one...but by the dogs of
Italian Greyhound Rescue. Sale of these sweaters has
delighted every single person who has purchased one. These
sweaters have also earned literally hundreds of dollars to
help the over 800 IGs who enter our program every year!!!
This particular sweater has a very
high collar that can be turned up and worn as a snood. It
is sized for a large IG - as long as 17" to 19" long and
up to 20" around. Wash in cold water with Woolite, wrap in
a towel then re-shape and lay flat to dry. These sweaters
wash beautifully!!
