Item # 1001 - Antique Platter England 2 Playing IGs c1878
Here is an antique 8" x 10.75" platter. In the center is a rural domestic scene featuring an elegant couple, their castle-like home & garden, plus two delightful playing Italian Greyhounds. This plate was made in England. On the back is a maker's mark as shown below. Perhaps one of you will recognize this maker's mark. There are a few surface chips and some discoloration that mostly comes with age. There is also some delicate crazing...also an indication of age. I was told that the plate was made in England in 1878. This item was found in an estate sale. Shipping will be handled by Dianne Beeber. |
