Item # 2009 - Vintage Spotted Staffordshire Style IG c1934
Here is a solid plaster Staffordshire type Italian Greyhound. The dog is delicate and well formed. The tail and feet are delicate and graceful. The color is creamy white with black spots. Measurement is: 5" H. There is some delicate crazing (that indicates age) & small signs of surface wear. The dog's muzzle was broken and repaired...only the person who did the repair glued the muzzle on the wrong way. <G> This figurine is a real conversation piece! The muzzle could be re-broken and re-glued...but it is really neat just the way it is! This was found in an estate sale among items from the 1930s. I was told that this was actually acquired by the family in 1934. Shipping will be handled by Dianne Beeber. |
