Item # 3017 - Bronze Sculptured IG Greyhound Change Tray

Here is a vintage raised relief metal change tray or ashtray. The type of metal used appears to be bronze. On the bottom is the raised relief figure of a gorgeous IG or Greyhound. The dog is well proportioned and detailed. It is beautifully sculptured. The dog is a male. Aroujnd his feet are a few beautifully sculptured plants. Around the perimeter is a geometric leaf design. In all four corners are lovely engraved depressions where cigarettes could be held. Measurements are: 5" x 6". On the bottom are four tiny "feet" to raise this item from the surface of a table. This is a QUALITY IG collectable. It would make a lovely, lovely dresser change tray, display piece or ashtray. I was told that this dates back to the late 1930s or early 1940s. It was found in an estate sale. Aside from a few minor signs of wear to the finish this item is in excellent condition. Shipping for this item will be handled by Judy Longhouse. |
