Item # 5008 - Antique IG Postcard East Germany New Year Greeting

Here is an antique postcard from East Germany. At the top are two delightful small children. At the bottom is a gorgeous Italian Greyhound in the process of delivering mail. The following printed message is inscribed: "Prosit Neujahr!" which is probably a German way of saying "Happy New Year". On the back is some writing in a variety of different languages including some Russian or eastern type script. There is a postmark but it is too difficult for me to read. There is some spidery handwriting on the back. This postcard was from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. Aside from some very minor signs of edge wear...this card is in excellent condition.

Donated by Bonnie Dennison....Thanks!
