Angel Fabio's Story by Karen DiRocco

Fabio came into our lives in June of 1994 at 8 weeks old. He was feisty and self-assured right from the beginning and soon became the boss of Dino, his iggy half brother. He was also very loving and would kiss everybody he met. He even won a "Best Kisser" contest at a Salem dog show.

He had a myriad of health problems. A broken leg, incurred in a couch jumping incident resulted in having the leg plated and numerous casts. Unfortunately, Fabio's leg deteriorated beyond repair in the last few years of his life.

On February 18, 2008, our dear, ever stoic Fabio was diagnosed with liver and gall bladder cancer. There were no miracle cures for him. On that sad day we had to help him cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. Our hearts still ache for our sweet, loving boy. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and Dino is still looking for him.
