Here is a spectacular very old plaster dresser box featuring the figurine of a gorgeous IG on the lid. The dog is incredibly well detailed with delicate well formed ears. The lid lifts off to expose the interior. Measurements are: 3.75" x 7.5" x 5.25" H. Most of the box is in excellent condition. On the back, however, there are some significant chips as shown in pic three below. Should this box be displayed or used with the chips facing the back...no one would realize that there was any damage. The box was made by Borghese. It is an old example of Italian Borhese chalkware. Borghese chalkware usually sells for big bucks in antique stores! On the bottom is the original Borghese label. Shipping will be handled by Dianne Beeber. |
